"Surfer Girl" was a 1963 album (and single) by The Beach Boys. The album cover was shot in Malibu, but our re-creation was shot at Rockaway Beach, NY on a cold November weekend.
We rented a surfboard from the local surf shop--there were actually surfers in the water in November--and found a guy on the beach to snap a few pics of us with Jo's cell phone.
I Photoshopped the yellow and blue board over ours and stylized the photo to look more faded and '60s.
